Senior Auditor (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Senior Auditor in BASF's Coatings division, you will join the Internal Audit unit to protect and enhance organisational value. You will independently conduct risk‑based audits across BASF group companies worldwide, providing objective insights that drive efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based audits of business processes on a global scale.
• Assess processes for compliance, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify key risks and design audit programmes accordingly.
• Document audit steps and results in a clear, structured manner.
• Prepare concise audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Follow up on agreed corrective actions and monitor implementation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methods and tools.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting or a comparable field.
• Several years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, controlling or risk management.
• Strong analytical abilities and a structured, thorough working style.
• High initiative, sense of responsibility and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with senior management.
• Fluent German and English.
