Senior Demand Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Demand Analyst at Westwing, you will own and continuously improve the statistical baseline forecast that underpins demand planning for the entire product portfolio. Based in Munich, you will collaborate with commercial teams and the forecasting software provider to deliver reliable, scalable forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate the statistical baseline forecast using multiple data sources.
• Partner with commercial teams to incorporate market trends and demand drivers into the forecast refresh process.
• Monitor and optimise forecast accuracy KPIs (MAPE, bias, rolling forecast error) and implement structural improvements.
• Communicate forecast updates, ranges and underlying assumptions to consensus demand planners.
• Explore and implement AI/ML solutions to enhance forecasting agility and precision.
• Mentor and develop demand‑planning team members in advanced forecasting techniques.

Required profile

• Degree in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, industrial engineering or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in demand planning or supply‑chain analytics, handling complex multi‑SKU portfolios.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical and machine‑learning forecasting methods (e.g., multivariate regression, time‑series modelling) and familiarity with metrics such as MAPE and forecast bias.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to translate large data sets into actionable insights.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
