Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Apex.AI is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale its build and release systems for safety‑certified software used in mobility and defense applications. The role works closely with European defense customers and internal product teams to deliver high‑quality products on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement cross‑platform build and release solutions that improve developer productivity.
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Develop and support Bazel infrastructure for C/C++ projects.
• Collaborate with customers to deploy real‑world systems and integrate feedback into the core platform.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for Linux‑based development environments.

Required profile

• B.S. or higher in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with cross‑platform build systems and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python and Starlark.
• Experience building and maintaining C/C++ projects using Bazel.
• Familiarity with GitLab or GitHub and Linux command‑line tools.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in German.
