Senior DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & GitOps (Remote, Germany)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and operate large‑scale, secure messaging and collaboration platforms. The role focuses on modernising containerised Kubernetes environments using GitOps practices while ensuring high security, observability, and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate legacy deployments to Kubernetes‑based platforms.
• Build and maintain development and test environments.
• Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and related tools.
• Improve platform security, observability, and resilience.
• Manage secrets, access controls, and infrastructure hardening.
• Modernise and optimise GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Support container platforms and cloud‑native application delivery.
• Collaborate within agile delivery teams.

Required profile

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, web servers and backend infrastructure.
• Fluent German (C2) and English for technical documentation.
• Experience working in regulated or security‑focused environments is a plus.
