Agile Product Owner

About the role

GDIT is seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to drive product vision, roadmap, and backlog for mission‑critical software solutions. The role requires deep expertise in Agile and SAFe practices, as well as strong stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned with business objectives.
• Prioritize features based on value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
• Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and non‑functional requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams during sprint planning and ensure clear sprint goals.
• Gather feedback, validate assumptions, and ensure releases meet defined criteria.
• Maintain and evolve an enterprise data model to support data consistency and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience as a product owner or in software/data engineering using Agile methods.
• Current TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain) and U.S. citizenship.
• Maintain a SAFe certification (e.g., SPC, Advanced SPC) within 30 days of start.
• Meet Germany TESA requirements for education and experience.
