Senior Group Accountant – HGB & IFRS

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Group Accountant to lead accounting and consolidation activities at the group level for a dynamic international company. The role is based in Berlin and reports to the Finance Department, focusing on both German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver group accounting and consolidation statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• Collaborate with local accounting teams to gather and consolidate financial data.
• Support process improvements for general ledger accounting and the record‑to‑report cycle.
• Assist treasury, controlling, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Coordinate external audits and work closely with German tax advisors.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Accounting Manager or Group Accountant.
• Proven experience in group accounting and consolidation for German and international entities.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
