Senior Network Engineer (Top Secret Clearance)

About the role

Join GDIT’s fast‑growing US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES‑X) program as a Senior Network Engineer. You will be responsible for the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in‑house information systems that support critical intelligence sharing for the warfighter.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain network architecture for new and existing systems, including upgrades and enhancements.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex network problems; provide technical guidance and training to less‑experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure network solutions meet documented user needs.
• Participate in special projects, documentation, and testing to validate network performance and security.

Required profile

• 5+ years of network engineering experience with a Top Secret/SCI clearance (must maintain).
• BA/BS degree or equivalent certification/experience; current CCNA certification required.
• Eligibility for DOD 8140 IAT‑II access and ability to obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
• Ability to work onsite with occasional travel (<10%) and meet Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) requirements.

Required skills

• Cisco IOS, routers, and switches configuration and troubleshooting.
• Routing and switching protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP.
• DMVPN, GRE tunnels, IPsec integration, and Cisco VoIP (CUCM) basics.
• HAIPE‑based encryption devices and management suite.
• Juniper JUNOS knowledge (preferred) and virtualization/data‑center concepts.
• Automation techniques and scripting for network operations.
