Senior Project Manager – IT Infrastructure

About the role

NAXCON GmbH is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead IT infrastructure projects within the defence sector. The role covers the complete project lifecycle, from initial setup through planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure projects meet defined time, cost, scope, and quality objectives.
• Create and maintain transparent project plans and reporting.
• Coordinate work packages, effort estimations, and service descriptions.
• Prepare data analyses and decision documents for stakeholders and management.
• Act as central contact for customers, operations, suppliers, and field service.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, conduct workshops, and handle project dependencies.
• Monitor risks, implement mitigation measures, and manage change control.
• Control project budgets and ensure adherence to approved financial limits.
• Conduct lessons‑learned sessions and support continuous improvement.
• Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning.
• Maintain structured communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in IT infrastructure, preferably within the defence sector.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across customers, internal teams, and external partners.
• Experience with risk, change, and budget management.
• Ability to define, structure, and coordinate work packages independently.
