Senior Reliability Engineer

About the role

RobCo is building autonomous industrial robotics and seeks a Senior Reliability Engineer to ensure system‑level robustness and long‑term endurance across its modular platforms. You will translate field data into design improvements and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the multi‑year reliability and endurance test roadmap for hardware and modules.
• Close the loop on field and service data, setting maintenance intervals, spare‑part strategies and design changes.
• Own system‑level reliability, creating Reliability Block Diagrams and setting confidence‑based targets.
• Drive DFMEA and FMEDA sessions, conduct root‑cause analyses and enforce reliability requirements in design reviews.
• Perform statistical analyses (MTBF/MTTF, L10/B10) and validate assumptions with real‑world data.

Required profile

• Degree or vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Physics or equivalent.
• Several years of reliability engineering experience on complex electro‑mechanical products.
• Strong ownership, pragmatic mindset and ability to draw defensible conclusions from incomplete data.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) modeling.
• MTBF/MTTF prediction and L10/B10 life calculations.
• Hands‑on FMEA/FMEDA execution.
• Statistical analysis tools (Python, R, Minitab, Weibull analysis).
• Reliability software (ReliaSoft, Isograph, Windchill Quality, SISTEMA).
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 26262, IEC 60300, IEC 61709, SN 29500).
