Senior/Staff Product Engineer

About the role

We’re Cortea, a Berlin startup transforming audits with AI. We’re looking for an experienced engineer who can work across the stack to turn complex audit workflows into reliable products that auditors rely on daily.

Key responsibilities

• Build the interfaces auditors work in, partnering with design to turn complex flows into something that feels effortless.
• Build and improve the AI agents at the core of the product, plus the harnesses and evaluation pipelines around them.
• Make long‑running workflows reliable and debuggable, ensuring failures surface quickly.
• Use AI heavily in your own workflow to move faster while maintaining high quality output.
• Drive technical discussions, write RFCs, and partner with product on feature decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years shipping production web applications across the full stack.
• Experience writing production APIs and modeling data for multi‑tenancy and high load.
• Strong frontend skills capable of building genuinely complex UI.
• Deep understanding of LLM agents, harnesses, tool use, and evaluation pipelines.
