Software Engineer – Dynamic Pricing (m/f/d)

About the role

Join Flix's Pricing Services team in Berlin and help shape the future of dynamic pricing and revenue management for millions of travelers. You will design, build, and maintain highly available, fault‑tolerant services that calculate ticket prices in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate distributed, message‑driven systems using PHP, Golang and AWS services.
• Navigate and improve a large, complex codebase while applying clean‑code principles.
• Participate in pair programming, mob programming and code reviews to foster shared ownership.
• Support, maintain and optimise existing services, identifying performance and scalability bottlenecks.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and contribute to backlog refinement.
• Balance engineering quality with delivery speed, making transparent trade‑offs.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with production‑grade PHP.
• Experience building platform or API products in a microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on knowledge of message streaming (Kafka or similar), Kubernetes, RESTful/HTTP APIs and AWS services.
• Comfortable working in a large, established codebase.
