Software Engineer – Email Security (Go/Python)

About the role

Join an international Security Lab that protects over 1.4 billion mailboxes worldwide. As a Software Engineer you will design, build and operate backend services that detect and block sophisticated email‑based threats, using a modern stack centred on Go and Python.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document and operate end‑to‑end backend services for email security, primarily in Go.
• Build scan pipelines, extract complex email artifacts and create next‑generation threat detection capabilities.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, security and reliability with measurable solutions.
• Integrate AI‑driven workflows and tools (e.g., Claude) to modernise engineering processes.
• Deploy and maintain services using Linux, Redis and MariaDB.
• Write comprehensive unit, functional and integration tests to ensure high software quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across multiple time zones, participate in code reviews and share knowledge.

Required profile

• Strong software development background in Go, C or Python (all experience levels welcome).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with Git, version‑control workflows and Linux/Unix command‑line environments.
• Analytical problem‑solving mindset capable of tackling complex architectural challenges.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
