Staff Frontend Engineer – Lead React Migration

About the role

bunch is building the backbone of private markets and needs a senior frontend leader to shape the architecture, quality, and developer experience of its product surfaces. As a Staff Frontend Engineer you will drive the migration from Svelte to React, evolve the design system, and embed AI‑native development practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead migration from Svelte to React, maintaining architectural coherence across both stacks.
• Maintain and evolve the design system with the frontend guild to ensure consistent, accessible UI.
• Support and guide frontend initiatives across teams, including performance, testing strategy, and technical debt reduction.
• Raise UX/UI quality through design reviews, reusable patterns, mentoring, and technical writing.
• Advance AI‑native development practices, integrating agentic tooling and shaping module boundaries and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven track record operating at Staff level, delivering systemic frontend improvements across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in modern frontend engineering with TypeScript, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, performance, and testing.
• Experience using AI coding tools beyond autocomplete and a clear view of their practical impact.
• Strong product judgment, translating ambiguous workflows into elegant user experiences.
• Systems thinking across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, observability, security, and compliance.
