Strategic Sourcing Manager – EMEA Capex & Infrastructure

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager (B4) is a senior individual contributor within Global Sourcing & Procurement, responsible for end‑to‑end execution of complex sourcing initiatives for facilities and capital infrastructure across Germany and the wider EMEA region. The role operates in a regulated, capital‑intensive environment and works closely with the Global Category Manager to translate strategy into commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead RFx processes, commercial negotiations and supplier selections aligned with approved Facilities and Capital category strategies.
• Apply sourcing levers such as competition design, negotiation strategy, contracting approach and commercial structuring within defined guardrails.
• Develop defensible award recommendations supported by financial analysis, risk assessment and technical alignment.
• Manage a portfolio of sourcing projects, prioritising based on delivery risk, market conditions and stakeholder urgency.
• Provide transparent reporting on status, risks and value delivery to category leadership and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with GSP governance, internal controls and audit standards, integrating supplier risk considerations throughout the sourcing lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong background in strategic sourcing, RFx execution, negotiations and contract award processes, preferably within facilities, construction or capital infrastructure environments.
• Ability to understand and translate engineering, construction and facilities requirements into effective commercial strategies.
• Recognised execution partner who delivers outcomes through disciplined, structured problem solving and sound commercial judgment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or related field and 7–10 years of relevant experience.
