Supply Chain Operations Manager

About the role

As the Supply Chain Operations Manager at Vay, you will own the supply chain engine that supports the scaling of Vay’s commercial driverless vehicle fleet and Remote Driving Stations. You will work across procurement, logistics and warehouse functions, collaborating closely with engineering, production, finance and fleet teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end supply chain operation for hardware, vehicles and Remote Driving Stations.
• Manage the Procurement and Warehouse & Logistics teams, setting OKRs, cadences and team structure.
• Own strategic sourcing, supplier selection, qualification, negotiations and performance for ECUs, semiconductors, computers, sensors, connectivity hardware, harnesses, cabling, mechanical parts and PCBA.
• Drive cost‑out programs, dual‑sourcing strategies and supplier localisation across Europe, the US and Asia.
• Translate fleet expansion plans into procurement, capacity, inventory and supply plans while maintaining a flexible BOM cost overview.
• Oversee procurement and inbound logistics for vehicle and Remote Driving Station BOMs across rolling production builds and SOPs.
• Lead inbound and outbound logistics, customs, import/export, warehouse operations and safety‑stock policy.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading supply chain or procurement functions in hardware‑intensive, high‑growth environments.
• Strong track record negotiating with Tier‑1 suppliers and managing global supplier networks.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, production, finance and operations teams.
• Experience with international logistics, customs compliance and warehouse management.
• Analytical mindset to translate fleet growth targets into supply plans and cost models.
