Technical Designer – Remote (Talent Pipeline)

About the role

Forgotten Empires is building a talent pipeline for Technical Designers who can work remotely from Europe. This initiative is not an active vacancy but a way to keep skilled designers on our radar for future projects that will use Unreal Engine 5.

Key responsibilities

• Design gameplay, narrative, and mechanical elements that contribute to a complete game experience.
• Create and iterate on innovative gameplay concepts using Unreal Engine 5 tools.
• Lead the implementation of core gameplay components from prototype to final integration, employing Blueprint scripting, Sequencer, and other UE systems.
• Collaborate closely with design leads to refine and polish gameplay experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional game design experience, preferably with Unreal Engine 5.
• Self‑motivated, proactive in spotting design or technical issues and comfortable seeking help when needed.
• Strong communication skills for presenting ideas to team members.
• Ability to work within production constraints, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback.
• Fluent conversational English (B2 level) and located in an EU time zone.
