Vice President of Tech Operations & Solutions

About the role

CARIAD, the automotive software company of the Volkswagen Group, is seeking a Vice President of Tech Operations & Solutions to lead its Tech Operations & Solutions organization. The role focuses on operational excellence, systems engineering, governance and product enablement across vehicle software development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the mid‑ to long‑term strategy for Tech Operations & Solutions aligned with VEMB and company objectives.
• Establish effective organizational structures, processes and operating models for development, integration and delivery of vehicle functions.
• Set up and evolve governance, steering and collaboration frameworks across engineering disciplines.
• Own KPI definition, monitoring, transparency mechanisms and management reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, tools and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
• Manage external partners, suppliers and service providers, including budgets and resources.
• Identify and mitigate strategic, organizational and technical risks and capability gaps.
• Develop leaders and senior experts while fostering a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
• Report on strategic initiatives, performance, risks and progress to senior management.
