About the role

Trade Republic is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join its legal team in Berlin. You will work in a highly regulated fintech environment, supporting the company’s mission to democratise wealth building across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage litigation cases, focusing on international matters, including out‑of‑court correspondence and drafting court statements.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies for diverse case constellations.
• Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders and external law firms across multiple jurisdictions.
• Attend court hearings, negotiate settlements, and provide guidance to external counsel.

Required profile

• German fully qualified lawyer (1st and 2nd state exam) or Diplomjurist (1st state exam) or Wirtschaftsjurist (LL.B. or LL.M.).
• Minimum 4 years of independent claims handling experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in international litigation.
• Proven ability to work with external lawyers and guide them efficiently.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
