VP Global Head of Supply Chain – Biopharma

About the role

As the VP Global Head of Supply Chain you will define and execute the end‑to‑end supply chain strategy for biosimilars within the Biopharma Business Unit. You will ensure reliable, compliant and cost‑effective delivery of products to patients worldwide while leading a high‑performing global organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the global supply chain strategy for drug substance, drug product and finished product.
• Lead Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to translate strategy into actionable supply plans.
• Manage internal manufacturing sites and external CMO partnerships to guarantee reliable supply.
• Oversee demand, capacity and inventory planning across a complex global network.
• Ensure launch readiness and lifecycle supply management, including tech transfers and product changes.
• Direct logistics, distribution and cold‑chain operations to maintain high service levels.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies for capacity and sourcing constraints.
• Drive financial performance through cost optimisation, inventory management and KPI governance.
• Build and lead a global supply chain team and collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial and Finance functions.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences or related field (MBA preferred).
• 15+ years of leadership experience in supply chain or manufacturing within biopharma, biotech or biologics.
• Proven track record managing global end‑to‑end supply chains, including internal production and CMOs.
• Deep understanding of biologics manufacturing processes (DS/DP/FP) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, strategic and financial acumen (COGS, working capital, inventory).
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
