Working Student HR Services (Payroll Team)

About the role

BASF Services Europe GmbH, the international service hub for the BASF Group in Berlin, is looking for a Working Student to join its HR Services team and support the Belgian Payroll team. The role covers payroll and post-payroll activities for Belgian employees, with exposure to social security, taxes, time management and compensation and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR administration across the employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding, for employees in Belgium
• Assist with monthly payroll and post-payroll activities, working closely with the Payroll team
• Support activities related to time management, social security, taxes and compensation and benefits
• Maintain accurate employee data in SAP and other HR and payroll systems
• Assist with HR reporting and data preparation
• Contribute to HR and payroll projects and continuous process improvements
• Help maintain and improve internal HR and payroll documentation and knowledge resources

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university degree or master's in business administration, Human Resources, Finance or a comparable field, with an interest in HR and Payroll
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and reliable, with a collaborative and independent approach
• Previous experience with SAP or other HR systems is a plus but not required

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Confidence in learning new digital tools and systems
