Accountant – Finance Team (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of core accounting operations. You will ensure accurate invoice processing, bank reconciliation and support month‑end and year‑end closings while acting as a reliable point of contact for accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post incoming invoices.
• Create and issue outgoing invoices.
• Post and reconcile bank transactions.
• Clarify and reconcile accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors for tax filings, audit reports and other reporting requirements.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure on‑time payments and optimal supplier credit utilisation.
• Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulatory changes and update internal procedures and documentation accordingly.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on accounting experience (internships and working‑student positions do not count).
• Completed vocational training as a Steuerfachangestellter (tax clerk) is a plus.
• Minimum C1‑level German and strong written and verbal English.
• Solid knowledge of HGB (German GAAP); IFRS knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in DATEV.
• Advanced Excel skills.
