Accountant – Finance Team (UK or Germany)

About the role

We are a boutique global financial consulting firm seeking an Accountant based in the UK or Germany to join our Finance team. You will help maintain and develop our accounting and financial reporting framework while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance the accounting and financial reporting framework, including policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and contribute to group consolidation.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, perform reconciliations, and manage financial risk.
• Handle compliance tasks such as statutory filings, tax coordination, and audit recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate external audits, prepare documentation, and resolve audit queries.
• Manage relationships with external service providers and support internal finance communications.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with auditing and tax‑related legal requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and advanced Excel.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
