AI Engineering Intern

About the role

We are looking for an AI Engineering Intern to join our Munich team and help build end‑to‑end AI systems for complex healthcare procurement workflows. You will work closely with a small, high‑performing group, gaining hands‑on experience in AI‑enabled applications within a cross‑border B2B environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and AI‑enabled workflows across the full stack.
• Improve search and matching quality for products, suppliers and documents.
• Design and run evaluations to measure and iterate on model performance.
• Build data pipelines for large‑scale unstructured data processing.
• Enhance reliability of AI workflows using structured outputs, tool calling and guardrails.
• Support backend improvements to keep systems scalable, stable and efficient.

Required profile

• High agency and a builder mindset with the ability to iterate quickly.
• Strong interest or experience in NLP, large language models, embeddings and machine‑learning applications.
• First‑hand experience with full‑stack development, preferably using TypeScript and Python.
• Willingness to learn new technologies fast and thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Motivation to work on‑site in Munich with a flexible, intensive schedule.
