Antenna Design Engineer – Automotive R&D

About the role

Amphenol is seeking an Antenna Design Engineer to join its Automotive R&D team in Frankfurt, Germany. You will lead the creation of innovative antenna solutions for infotainment, telematics and other automotive communication systems, driving new technology development from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Independently design and develop antennas tailored for automotive applications.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, allocating tasks and ensuring timely delivery of development milestones.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep solutions cutting‑edge.
• Draft technical specifications, design guidelines and documentation for new antenna products.
• Collaborate with internal functions to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet product requirements.
• Present technical solutions to customers and support pre‑sales activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in antenna design for automotive or similar high‑frequency applications.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional teamwork and customer interaction.
