Area Manager Logistics – Gera

About the role

Amazon’s Operations team in Gera is looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead a logistics shift. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality order fulfillment while driving productivity across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Create, oversee, and promote a culture of safety and wellbeing on the shift.
• Analyse performance data and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Lead projects that streamline processes, optimise output and improve customer service.
• Monitor shift performance against business objectives and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with senior managers to standardise shift practices and drive operational excellence.
• Mentor new managers and act as a role model for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in a fast‑paced logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance.
• Ability to analyse data, identify improvement opportunities and execute solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional management.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns.
