Art Director

About the role

Orange Monkey, an independent, women‑owned creative agency in Frankfurt, is seeking an Art Director to shape visual concepts for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from global brands like Procter & Gamble to national businesses. You will join a close‑knit team of creatives, strategists, and social media experts, taking responsibility from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute visual concepts for campaigns, social media, brand content, presentations, and client projects.
• Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, account managers, and the in‑house social media team to ensure cohesive storytelling.
• Translate strategic briefs into clear, inspiring visual communication, including layouts, moodboards, storyboards, and social assets.
• Produce design deliverables such as presentations, brand videos, and sustainability communications.
• Contribute to Orange Monkey’s own brand identity and communication materials.

Required profile

• Strong conceptual and visual thinking with a solid grasp of design, layout, typography, and storytelling.
• Curiosity about brands, culture, social media, and emerging communication formats.
• Hands‑on, reliable, proactive attitude and comfort working in a small, collaborative team.
• Fluent English; German is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using AI‑based design tools.
• Motion, video, or social content creation skills are welcomed.
