Associate – Financial Institutions Group (FIG) – DACH & Nordics

About the role

The Associate in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) DACH & Nordics team supports senior bankers in delivering a full suite of corporate and investment banking services across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordic region. The role combines client development, transaction execution and risk management within a leading European bank.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior colleagues in defining and implementing growth strategies for institutional clients across DACH & Nordics.
• Engage with C‑level client contacts to build and maintain relationships.
• Support the execution of syndicated and bilateral lending, capital markets, treasury and other financing transactions.
• Prepare financial models, conduct risk and credit analysis, and monitor profitability (RoRWA).
• Manage credit limits, group borrower limits and budgeting for the assigned portfolio.
• Coordinate ISDA, GMRA and GMSLA negotiations, M&A processes, cash & custody pitches and KYC compliance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in Markets, DCM or Corporate Finance.
• Proven experience advising clients on debt, capital management and market solutions.
• Strong academic background in finance, economics or a related field.
