AV Rental & Broadcast Technician (m/f/d)

About the role

RIEDEL Communications is the leading provider of live production tools for media, sports and entertainment, organised into three business units. Its Managed Technology division rents audio, video, IT and communication solutions for international live events, from project planning to on-site implementation. As an AV Rental & Broadcast Technician you will prepare and operate rental equipment and broadcast systems for such events.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, test and prepare rental equipment and technical systems so they are fully operational.
• Assemble, configure and customise communication, broadcast, audio and video systems according to project requirements.
• Prepare outgoing equipment packages and process returned material efficiently.
• Coordinate with project managers and technical teams on equipment needs, technical specifications and schedules.
• Identify damaged, missing or maintenance-critical equipment and take corrective action.
• Occasionally take responsibility for on-site technical operations and act as technical point of contact during productions.
• Support the setup, execution and dismantling of high-profile sports, broadcast and live event productions.

Required profile

• Technical education or demonstrable affinity with AV, broadcast, media technology, communication systems or related fields.
• Independent, structured and detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills in dynamic environments.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to do physical work in a warehouse and workshop.
• Good communication skills and enjoyment of working with project and production teams.
• Flexibility to work on-site and outside standard hours when needed.

Required skills

• Desirable: experience with broadcast, intercom, networking, RF, audio or event technology systems.
