AWS Cloud Architect – Remote (Germany)

About the role

Coforge is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design and implement end‑to‑end cloud solutions for its German customers. The position is fully remote and requires strong German language skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure AWS infrastructures aligned with business requirements.
• Define high‑level architecture components such as VPC network topology, EC2 compute, S3/EBS storage, and IAM security groups.
• Lead the implementation of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, Glue) for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deliver Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and data protection standards.
• Monitor, tune, and optimise environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain up‑to‑date architecture documentation, diagrams, and deployment guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
• Fluent German (C1 level or native).
• Deep expertise in AWS services, especially EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Redshift, and Glue.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and data warehousing concepts.
• Proven ability to design fault‑tolerant, scalable solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
