AWS Cloud Architect – Remote (Germany)

About the role

Coforge is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design and implement end‑to‑end cloud solutions for its German customers. The role is fully remote and requires deep expertise in AWS services, data engineering concepts, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure AWS infrastructures aligned with business requirements.
• Define high‑level architecture components such as VPC network topology, compute (EC2), storage (S3, EBS), and security (IAM, Security Groups).
• Lead the implementation of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, and Glue for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deliver infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and data protection standards.
• Monitor, tune, and optimise environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain up‑to‑date architecture documentation, diagrams, and deployment guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in cloud architecture or related fields.
• Fluent German (C1 level or native) – mandatory.
• Proven ability to design fault‑tolerant, high‑availability solutions on AWS.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and data warehousing concepts.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, EMR, Redshift, Glue, Lambda.
