Benchmarking Engineer (m/d/w)

About the role

We are seeking a Benchmarking Engineer with automotive experience to join our client in Ingolstadt. You will lead the preparation of Teardown Highlights Reports for competitor OEM vehicles, supporting the analysis of technical, cost and weight aspects across complete vehicle systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary investigations and support observational dismantling activities.
• Facilitate expert discussions, system workshops and part‑by‑part property analyses.
• Prepare and present detailed teardown and benchmarking reports.
• Collaborate in final discussion sessions and deliver error‑free technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive benchmarking and teardown reporting.
• Background in component‑ and system‑level design and development.
• Strong knowledge of cost, weight, manufacturing processes and innovation analysis.
• Fluent German and at least B2 level English.
