Business Development Manager - Optical Components (m/f/d)

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Feldkirchen, Germany. The company develops and produces highly complex optomechatronic components, assemblies and systems, including high-precision mechanics, assembly of special components and diamond turning. The role covers sales of optical products in the European market.

Key responsibilities

• Sell standard and custom lenses, laser optics, machine vision solutions and precision optical systems in the European market
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers, sales partners and new customers in the EMEA region
• Identify new business opportunities, applications and projects and shape further market growth
• Manage the entire sales process independently, from the first customer approach to closing a contract
• Work closely with development, application engineering, product management and project management teams
• Provide consultation and lead negotiations with technical and business contacts at various decision-making levels
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and customer events in Europe

Required profile

• Technical understanding of semiconductor backend, optics, laser optics or machine vision; experience in one of these areas is a plus
• A completed technical or business degree or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in technical sales, business development or a similar customer-oriented environment
• Fluency in German and English
• Willingness to travel regularly within Europe
