CEMA System Engineer – Airborne Platforms

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a System Engineer specialized in Cyber and Electronic Warfare (CEMA) for airborne platforms. You will support the design, integration and lifecycle management of electronic reconnaissance and self‑protection systems for programmes such as TORNADO, MALE and NGWS.

Key responsibilities

• Define functional and non‑functional requirements for Electronic Warfare (EW) and Cyber capabilities.
• Specify external interface requirements for communications, Multi‑Function Software Defined Radio (MF‑SDR) and radar.
• Develop and mature system concepts and architectures for EW/Cyber situational awareness.
• Conduct prototypical functional and integration testing of CEMA functions.
• Document technical activities and results.
• Act as CEMA architect within Electronic Mission Operations (EMO) and System‑of‑Systems (SoS) missions, defining integration architectures for both EW and Cyber capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong background in system engineering for airborne platforms.
• Interest in operational‑mission focused technology.
• Experience with RF, EO, radar and sensor‑fusion concepts.
