Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full‑Time

About the role

The Clinical Medical Assistant provides direct support to healthcare providers, ensuring high‑quality patient care through clinical tasks, documentation, and coordination of services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and record client information in electronic medical records, obtain medical and family histories.
• Facilitate insurance referrals, disability benefits, durable medical equipment requests, and medication prior authorizations.
• Notify patients of test results, screen calls for providers, and assist with scheduling of tests and referrals.
• Perform clinical procedures such as injections, nebulizer treatments, dressing changes, suture removal, ECGs, ear lavage, tympanograms, audiograms, pulmonary function testing, and vital sign collection.
• Collect specimens, conduct waived lab tests (e.g., rapid strep, urine HCG, blood glucose), and perform quality‑control testing.

Required profile

• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate clearly, and work independently.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform clinical tasks.

Required skills

• Administration of injections and nebulizer treatments.
• Electrocardiogram (ECG) and pulmonary function testing.
• Specimen collection (capillary and venous) and waived laboratory testing.
• Electronic medical record documentation.
