Commercial Lead – Health Security (Europe)

About the role

This senior commercial position focuses on building a new European Health Security business for a global life‑sciences organisation. You will shape strategy, forge partnerships with governments and public‑health agencies, and drive commercial growth in pandemic preparedness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategy across key European markets.
• Establish and nurture relationships with government ministries, public‑health bodies and procurement organisations.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations, including public‑sector contracting and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams.
• Influence market development within a brand‑new, high‑profile business unit.
• Represent the organisation with senior decision‑makers across Europe.

Required profile

• Proven commercial leadership experience in pharma, biotech or vaccines.
• Background in government affairs, public‑sector healthcare or market access.
• Experience with public procurement, tendering and strategic account management.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence senior decision‑makers.
