Commissioning Manager

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning process of our state‑of‑the‑art data centre facilities in Hanau. The role ensures that electrical, mechanical and BMS systems are designed, installed, tested and operated according to specifications, collaborating closely with engineering, construction and operations teams to meet project milestones and achieve operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support the commissioning strategy for new data centre projects, covering electrical, mechanical and building management systems.
• Develop commissioning plans, protocols and schedules; coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and vendors.
• Conduct site inspections, functional testing and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, reports and system performance data.
• Provide training to operations staff and represent DATA4 in customer and vendor meetings regarding commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of commissioning management experience in data centre or critical‑facility environments.
• Fluent English and intermediate German.
• Professional certification such as Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) is a plus.
