Communications & Content Manager (Part‑time, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Communications & Content Manager to support the Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Global Network (SPAGN) on a part‑time, freelance basis. You will work remotely, collaborating with an international virtual team to raise awareness of sarcoma and strengthen our global patient‑advocacy voice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and coordinate multi‑channel communication content, including social media posts, website articles, newsletters, blog entries, visual assets and occasional print materials.
• Lead the annual Sarcoma Awareness Month campaign, coordinating with the Board, Executive Director, Project Manager and member organisations.
• Manage SPAGN’s social‑media presence: content planning, publishing, audience engagement and performance monitoring.
• Support website and digital platform updates in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Oversee the blog team, handling editorial planning, contributor coordination and publication scheduling.
• Identify and act on opportunities to increase SPAGN’s visibility among patients, advocates, healthcare professionals, researchers, industry partners and policymakers.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in communications, public relations or a related field, preferably within healthcare, pharma or patient‑advocacy sectors.
• Strong project‑management abilities and a creative, hands‑on approach.
• Interest in patient advocacy, oncology, rare diseases or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Comfortable working independently and flexibly within an international virtual team.
