Construction HSE Coordinator (LOTO)

About the role

Met T&S, the employment company of the MAIRE group, is recruiting a Construction HSE Coordinator for the Green Diesel Production Project in Hamburg, Germany. The project expands the existing Hamburg refinery with new process units, a tank farm, interconnecting lines, a new electrical substation and rack room, and cables between the new and existing substations. The coordinator reports to the HSM or, as the TCM HSE representative on site, to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform job hazard analysis (JHA) and take part in job safety analysis (JSA)
• Check that site HSE rules and procedures are applied correctly and update HSE documentation as needed
• Ensure subcontractors comply with HSE procedures, regulations and standards
• Organise and take part in periodic HSE walk-arounds, inspections and audits, and follow up corrective actions
• Coordinate and take part in HSE training and site HSE meetings, and prepare minutes
• Cooperate with the client on work permits and investigate accidents, keeping accident records
• Lead the site HSE committee and the emergency response and fire prevention teams, organising drills
• Prepare the HSE section of monthly progress reports and site HSE statistics against project and corporate targets

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in engineering or equivalent
• At least 12 years of HSE experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning in oil & gas or petrochemical projects
• Experience on three major EPC projects in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector
• NEBOSH GC / IGC certificate

What we offer

• Starting gross annual salary of at least EUR 72,000, paid monthly
