Control Systems Engineer – Structural Tests

About the role

Airbus Operations is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to support the Structures Test department within Airframe Engineering. The position combines office‑based design work with hands‑on laboratory activities at the Hamburg production site, contributing to the validation of new aircraft structures.

Key responsibilities

• Set up state‑of‑the‑art control systems using commercially available technology.
• Install and configure control hardware and software for static and fatigue test rigs.
• Optimise controller parameters to accelerate test execution.
• Develop load profiles for static and fatigue testing programmes.
• Manage subcontracted electrical installation activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document and verify the accuracy of load introduction.
• Collaborate with European Airbus sites to develop new control‑system solutions.
