Country Finance Manager – Germany

About the role

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking an experienced Country Finance Manager to lead financial management and reporting for its German operations. The role combines strategic financial oversight with close collaboration across technical, project, and senior leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial performance monitoring of projects, including P&L, cash flow, and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Partner with project and technical teams to develop and review project budgets.
• Provide financial and commercial input during contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with local regulations and IFRS standards.
• Manage audit follow‑up actions and implement corrective plans.
• Oversee compliance with tax authorities and statutory requirements.
• Maintain and optimise relationships with local banks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance management within an industrial or energy environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
