Custodial Worker – Housekeeping (NA-01/RPT)

About the role

The Custodial Worker provides essential cleaning and maintenance services for guest rooms and public areas in a hospitality environment. Working under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, corridors, stairways, and common areas using sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing techniques.
• Dust, wax, and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Disinfect and deodorize bathrooms, replenish toiletries, and manage waste removal.
• Make beds, change linens, and clean mirrors, windows, walls, and blinds.
• Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report any needed repairs.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and room amenities.

Required profile

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and read signage.
• Basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, tools, and equipment.
• Capability to remove stains from various surfaces.
• Willingness to work irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 20 lb and perform standing, walking, bending, and pushing tasks.
• Pass a pre‑employment physical, background check, and provide direct deposit and Social Security information.

Required skills

• Use of vacuum cleaners, lightweight floor scrubbers, waxers, and buffers.
• Stain removal techniques.
• Minor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
