Customer Service Specialist – Sea Freight FCL & LCL

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our sea‑freight team in Hamburg. You will be responsible for managing full container load (FCL) and less‑than‑container load (LCL) shipments, ensuring smooth communication between customers, overseas agents, carriers and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end FCL and LCL import and export shipments.
• Maintain daily communication with customers, agents and shipping lines.
• Coordinate bookings, monitor shipment milestones and provide proactive updates.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, invoices and shipping instructions.
• Work closely with operations and sales teams to guarantee high service quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in freight forwarding, specifically sea‑freight operations.
• Strong understanding of import/export processes and documentation.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, international environment.

Required skills

• CargoWise (or similar freight forwarding system) – strong plus.
