Cyber Security Engineer – OT & Industrial Systems

About the role

agap2 is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to develop, maintain and enhance cybersecurity processes for operational technology (OT) environments. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to protect critical infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve cybersecurity processes aligned with IEC 62443 and TS 50701.
• Create and implement OT security concepts and overall cybersecurity strategies.
• Perform security risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in systems and processes.
• Coordinate cybersecurity requirements across engineering teams, projects and external partners.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness training for project teams.
• Monitor relevant standards, regulations and legal requirements.
• Design and implement security controls for OT systems and critical infrastructure.
• Analyze incidents, support investigations and contribute to corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Professional experience in software development and software architecture.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443 and industrial cybersecurity frameworks is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a similar cybersecurity role is an advantage.
• Proactive, self‑driven with a hands‑on mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
