Data Center Engineering Operations Technician – Frankfurt

About the role

The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician ensures reliable operation of all electrical and mechanical infrastructure within an AWS data centre in Frankfurt. You will work hands‑on with critical systems, perform site interventions, and resolve complex technical issues to maintain 100% uptime for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardized procedures and performance metrics.
• Execute preventive maintenance for site‑critical infrastructure according to AWS processes.
• Monitor facilities via BMS, PMS and regular walkthroughs.
• Support build‑out and retrofit projects for data‑center infrastructure.
• Respond to incidents, analyse trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop and maintain method statements, SOPs, emergency response plans and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated individual with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Comfortable working on a 24×7 schedule, at heights and in noisy environments.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical (M&E) infrastructure in a data‑center or industrial setting.
