Data Collection Driver for Autonomous Vehicle Testing

About the role

Autobrains is seeking a professional driver to operate a vehicle equipped with data‑collection hardware for autonomous‑driving projects. The role involves capturing high‑quality sensor data, supporting demo sessions for automotive customers, and ensuring the vehicle is ready for each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the designated vehicle within a defined area while recording sensor data.
• Start and stop recording devices, operate related software, and monitor equipment performance.
• Analyse collected data, upload it to the ticket system, and generate daily progress reports.
• Provide feedback on data‑collection processes and suggest improvements.
• Write detailed drive reports highlighting observations and any issues.
• Verify that the vehicle and all systems are in safe, working condition before each shift.

Required profile

• Clean driving record and a valid German driver’s licence.
• Minimum four years of licensed driving experience; advanced training (e.g., BMW B2, Mercedes T2) is a plus.
• Familiarity with vehicle mechanics and maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; communicative level German.
• Ability to work flexible day/night shifts, including occasional weekends and overtime.
• Willingness to travel across Europe (approximately 50% of the time).
• Based in Munich and hold a valid work permit if required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
