Data Engineer – Machine Learning for Sustainable Cement

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to own the data pipeline that fuels our machine‑learning software for decarbonising cement and concrete production. You will work hands‑on with real plant data, turn messy raw inputs into clean, model‑ready streams, and interact directly with customers to make data onboarding frictionless.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end‑to‑end pipelines that ingest and clean plant data for ML use.
• Shift from rigid data schemas to flexible, AI‑driven ingestion processes.
• Detect, investigate and communicate data anomalies to customers in plain language.
• Develop and support APIs and PostgreSQL databases that power our products.
• Collaborate closely with sales, customer‑success and engineering teams, translating technical details for non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong motivation to combat climate change.
• Proven experience shipping production‑grade Python code.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and start delivering value.
• Comfortable communicating directly with customers and non‑technical teams.
• Willingness to use AI tools to augment your workflow.
