Director of Operations – Europe

About the role

The Director of Operations, Europe will lead GroupeSTAHL’s manufacturing network across the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Italy. This hands‑on senior role is responsible for safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost performance while ensuring consistent implementation of global manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety and EHS performance across all European sites, promoting a zero‑incident culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Deliver regional service, quality, productivity and conversion‑cost targets; monitor KPIs and daily management systems.
• Coach and develop site operations leaders, support succession planning and collaborate with HR on workforce planning.
• Drive lean manufacturing, operational excellence and quality improvement initiatives, standardising best practices across locations.
• Act as the primary liaison between European sites and Global Operations leadership on capacity planning, priorities and strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior manufacturing operations leadership within a multi‑site, multi‑country environment.
• Proven track record in safety/EHS management, lean transformation and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to develop site‑level teams and drive accountability.
