Director of Operations – Semiconductor & Advanced Manufacturing

About the role

The company is a globally active semiconductor and advanced technology manufacturer seeking a Director of Operations to lead a technically complex production environment during a period of rapid growth and industrialisation. This senior position will own manufacturing performance and drive the transition from an engineering‑led setup to a scalable, industrialised operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing and operational activities across a high‑tech production environment.
• Drive improvements in throughput, productivity, yield and delivery performance.
• Support scale‑up initiatives and operational expansion projects.
• Implement stronger operational structure, planning discipline and accountability.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Improve operational cadence, execution speed and cross‑functional alignment.
• Oversee automation, industrialisation and manufacturing maturity programmes.
• Manage large cross‑functional teams covering production, engineering support and maintenance.
• Contribute to long‑term operational strategy and international growth plans.

Required profile

• Significant operational leadership experience in semiconductor, microelectronics or advanced manufacturing.
• Proven track record of leading complex production or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to introduce industrial thinking, structure and performance‑driven leadership.
• Strong strategic mindset with a focus on scalability and operational maturity.
