Engineering Base (EB) Expert – Electrical Design Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Base (EB) Expert to lead the development, configuration, and optimisation of engineering design workflows within our electrical engineering projects. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for Aucotec Engineering Base, ensuring seamless integration of cabling design, routing logic and CAD processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams in establishing and maintaining Engineering Base structures, data models and workflows.
• Interpret Control & Protection engineering documentation and implement it accurately in Engineering Base.
• Configure, maintain and validate routing logic and automation within CAD environments.
• Translate engineering requirements into structured, scalable Engineering Base models.
• Coordinate integration between Engineering Base and Autodesk Revit workflows.
• Identify, analyse and resolve issues related to automated cable routing processes.
• Serve as the internal point of contact and subject‑matter expert for Engineering Base topics.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve digital engineering processes and data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Aucotec Engineering Base in a professional environment.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive attitude and ability to provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Aucotec Engineering Base (EB) as a CAD and engineering data‑management platform.
• Practical experience with cable routing and cable management systems.
• Experience with automated routing solutions in engineering or design software.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Ability to read and interpret secondary electrical drawings and control circuit diagrams.
• Solid understanding of HV substation secondary design, including control and protection systems.
