Engineering Manager – Algorithms Team (Remote)

About the role

As the Engineering Manager for the Algorithms team at RoomPriceGenie, you will lead the core pricing and forecasting engine that powers revenue management for thousands of hotels. This remote, senior‑level position balances people leadership, delivery ownership, and technical credibility.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑performing team responsible for the pricing algorithm, forecasting models and data pipelines.
• Own delivery, quality and operational health of pricing runs, partnering with Product to translate business goals into engineering plans.
• Hire, onboard and develop engineers, conduct 1:1s, performance reviews and career development.
• Provide technical oversight through design and code reviews and step in hands‑on when needed.
• Drive engineering process improvements and operational excellence across the product and engineering organization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in backend and data‑intensive or algorithmic systems.
• Several years of proven people‑management experience, including performance management of engineers.
• Product‑mindset with the confidence to challenge product decisions and shape roadmap.
• Fluent English and based in a European time zone (UTC+0 to UTC+2).
